Spring showcase at North Village
Wed 8 April 2015, 12:20 pm
A spring event has taken place to celebrate the completion of work to improve the look of Bromley North Village.
Over the weekend of 21 and 22 March guests took part in an Easter egg trail throughout local businesses, as well as enjoying balloon modelling and live entertainment, and went on ‘”heritage walks”.
The £5.5 million public realm improvement scheme saw the installation of granite paving, lamp columns, trees and new street furniture in Market Square, East Street and the High Street to give the area an economic boost as part of long term improvements around the borough. The mayor’s Outer London Fund, Bromley Council and Transport for London provided funding for the project.
It was completed successfully and on budget in time for the Christmas 2014 trading period.
