Deal to extend airport opening hours
Tue 7 April 2015, 5:11 pm
Biggin Hill Airport may extend its opening hours, providing it fulfils certain conditions and obligations.
Bromley Council has agreed a lengthening of the facility’s opening hours in principal, with the condition that the airport implements noise control monitoring and a cap on flight movements, to be agreed between the two parties.
The agreement was made after a full council meeting and a subsequent meeting of the executive and follows an eight-week consultation. Out of 41,000 responses to Biggin Hill’s plans, 31,500 (76%) were in favour.
