Retail developer intu has submitted a planning application for a £24 million leisure development in Bromley.
Proposals for the scheme include a five-screen cinema – which will be built on the centre’s roof – and a cluster of restaurants at the Elmfield Road entrance.
The centre will be laid out to integrate leisure amenities with food outlets on all floors, including at the ground level entrance.
Julian Wilkinson, asset management director for intu said: “Bromley, as a metropolitan centre, is currently under-supplied for leisure and catering, so we see a big opportunity to meet this demand and drive more footfall from further and increase dwell time from this highly affluent catchment."
Providing permission is granted, work on the scheme is scheduled to start during 2015.
