Bromley solicitor reports growth

Law firm Thackray Williams, which has offices throughout Bromley, has reported a 20 per cent increase in the size of its property team in under six months.
Sean Sanders, a partner at the firm who leads the property team, said the company seemed to be in a "perpetual hire mode" and is building another four offices to accommodate growth.
He said: “With our offices in Beckenham, West Wickham and Bromley, we cover a good deal of the borough and as such, we are a pretty good bellwether for the condition – good or otherwise – of the local property market.
"The last six months have seen a steady growth in the volume of work we are undertaking, which is good for us, but good too for the local economy.
"Recruiting staff from the borough not only gives something back to the community, but helps us to retain that all important local feel to our service, setting us apart from more factory-style conveyancing operations.”
The firm will look to continue its recruitment programme in 2014 and hopes to grow in all areas.
Yildiz Betez, head of the firm’s business services practice, said: "As the borough’s local economy heads into this next cycle of austerity, I believe that investor focus and funds are shifting squarely into property – indeed it is currently the asset class of choice, for domestic investors and those from overseas.
"This is reflected by the amount of development taking place locally, and the amount of new property-based legal work we are undertaking."
