Orpington's newly-formed Business Improvement District has saluted the town's best and brightest operators with its first gala awards ceremony.
Prizes in a range of categories from “customer service” to “favourite business” were presented by Bromley Mayor Councillor Ernest Noad based on votes by residents and customers.
Among the category winners were McDonald's, Groom Barbers, KCs Café, Harris HospiceCare, and Tangent Office Supplies.
Martin Price, chairman of the Orpington 1st Business Improvement District (BID), said he had been impressed with the level of support for the event shown by residents and customers.
“As businesses, we are passionate about our town and aiming to attain ever higher customer service and being close to the local community is an essential part of our plans for the future,“ he said.
“Orpington 1st is building on our existing work and working hard to deliver positive changes to the town centre.”
