Bromley College has teamed up with Bromley Council to create The Star Project, a scheme aimed at helping businesses recruit staff and developing employment opportunities for residents aged 18 to 24.
The college’s employer services team, Capital B, will provide a recruitment service for businesses, offering advice about taking on an intern or apprentice, with financial support provided by the council.
Craig Potter, the college’s head of business development, said: “The Star Project will have a positive impact on the whole community. This will provide apprentices or interns with the building blocks to develop their careers.
"Employers will be able to take advantage of a free recruitment service to access this talent pool and will benefit from the various benefits of employing an apprentice or intern such as increased productivity, motivation and retention.
"This is a great community project and will bring many benefits to all involved and also the wider community."
