Bromley College of Further and Higher Education has opened a new specialist centre for young people with learning difficulties and disabilities.
MP for Beckenham Colonel Bob Stewart opened The Nido Volans Centre, named after the Latin phrase for "flying the nest”, at the college’s Bromley Campus on 21 June.
The centre is for students aged 16 to 24, featuring new hospitality and catering facilities, speech and therapy rooms, state-of-the-art ICT facilities, classrooms, media and performance rooms.
Sam Parrett, principal of the college, said: "We are very proud of the success and achievements of our learners with learning difficulties and disabilities, and of our staff who so passionately work with them, and we couldn’t be happier to now have a dedicated facility to make this important part of Bromley College an even greater success."
