The Pavilion Leisure Centre's £5 million upgrade programme has been declared complete.
Pavilion Leisure Centre...refurbishment completed
Mytime Active, which runs leisure services in Bromley on behalf of the council, said it had now spent an additional £300,000 on improving facilities for swimmers as part of the refurbishment programme.
The final piece of the jigsaw provides swimmers with increased heating levels in the pool and changing area, and with new cubicles.
Over all, the centre boasts a new 12-lane bowling alley, 100-station gym, a new café and reception area, dance studios, and a “Buzz Zone” soft play area.
Mytime Active chief executive Steve Price said the Pavilion Leisure Centre was a hub of life in Bromley.
“The latest investment means swimmers of all ages are guaranteed that the pool and changing areas are kept at a pleasant temperature,” he said.
“We are really pleased to have similar improvements and initiatives planned at our three other main leisure centres across the borough over the next year or so.”
Mytime Active was formed in 2004 and manages leisure services for Bromley Council, it also operates a number of ‘Pay and Play’ golf courses in the borough including Orpington Golf Centre and Bromley Golf Centre.
Over the past nine years the social enterprise has reinvested £12.2 million back into the services across the borough, it said.
