Bromley Council markets key regeneration site

Tue 28 February 2012, 3:17 pm

Bromley Council is seeking interest from developers in a key site in the town centre.

The council has issued a notice aimed at assessing market interest in the site known as Churchill Place, which stretches from the Churchill Theatre to Ravensbourne Road.

The council says that it is committed to producing a materplan for the mixed use redevelopment of the site once it has selected a development partner.

Council leader Stephen Carr said: “"Our vision is taking shape and we are keen to work closely with a development partner to deliver our aspirations to enhance the town with high quality, design led development. We are setting about building a better Bromley and Churchill Place is integral to our plans for the town centre.”

Plans for Churchill Place were outlined in the Bromley Town Centre Area Action Plan, which was adopted by the council in 2010.
