Bromley North plans go out for further consultation
Mon 7th November 2011, 2:17 pm
Members of the public are being invited to comment on revised plans for the regeneration of Bromley North Village.
The plans have been amended following an initial consultation with key stakeholders in the area earlier this year.
The revised plans are available on the council’s website and will be showcased in a series of events in the run up to Christmas.
Peter Morgan, executive councillor for renewal and recreation at the council, said:"We have listened carefully to comments from stakeholders and have amended our plans accordingly.
“We now want to hear from residents and others, so if you're interested come along to our events or download the form and give us your feedback.”
Plans for Bromley North Village were outlined in the Bromley Town Centre Area Action Plan (AAP), which was officially adopted by the Council in October 2010.
The scheme encompasses Market Square , High Street North and East Street areas of Bromley town centre, and aims to develop pedestrian friendly, clean and safe open spaces with improvements to the street scene and environment.
There will be a focus on attracting new independent businesses and specialist retailers.
The plans and consultation documents will be available for viewing and downloading at www.bromley.gov.uk/bromleynorthvillage, and all responses must be received by Friday 23 December 2011.
