Pellings appointed to advise on Cray Wanderers stadium...

Tue 23 August 2011, 11:54 am

Advisor Pellings has been appointed by Cray Wanderers FC to provide town planning and architectural services for a proposed new stadium in Orpington.

The club is planning a sporting village, which will provide a stadium that meets Football League requirements, at Sandy Lane, St Paul’s Cray.

The facility could include a 25m pool, gym and leisure facilities, plus commercial property that could include a hotel.

Cray Wanderers are the oldest football club in London and have been without their own ground since 1972. They currently ground-share with Bromley FC.

A recent run of success has seen them progress to their highest ever league position in the Ryman Premier Division, a run of success that is behind their intention to move into a purpose-built venue near their original home.
