Residents and businesses in Bromley are being asked for their views on the future of the borough over the next 20 years.
The London Borough of Bromley is consulting on its core strategy, a planning document setting the course of future development.
People can submit their views on the plans in a consultation that will run until 30 September.
Peter Dean, chairman of the development control committee, said: "It is vital that residents and others give us their views as they can help to influence development of all types.
“This is a very exciting time in which local people can write the blueprint for their local area.”
A wide range of questions are being asked, including where new development might take place, what kinds of housing will be needed, how transport should develop and how we can protect our local environment.
The consultation document is available for viewing and downloading at www.bromley.gov.uk/ldf.
Paper copies are also available in libraries and main reception at the Civic Centre, Bromley.
Comments in writing can be made to the chief planner, renewal and recreation department, Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley BR1 3UH.
The development plan will be discussed in depth at the one day conference, Invest Bromley, on September 20th.
